FANTASTIC HADES FACTS !

  • Hades was the god of wealth in C4.B.C. He is the god of wealth because of pieces found on earth. Hades also wears a mask. He wears a mask to make him invisible. He got the mask from the Cyclopes because they wanted him and his brothers to kill Cronus.

  • Romans gave Hades the nickname “Pluto” when they adopted the gods in the time around B.C. Romans also gave him the nickname because he is the unseen one. Also Egyptians refer to him as Anubis Lord of the Underworld.

  • Hades is the ruler of the dead. He rules people that have had proper funeral barrels. Charon brings the dead across the Styx River.

  • Cronus was Hades' dad along with Zeus, Poseidon, Heria, and Demeter Hestia. When Hades was born Cronus ate Hades and the three others. Cronus did that because if he had a born sibling, that sibling would take his spot on the throne. His mother hid Zeus in Mont Ibis. After Cronus ate Zeus’s brother’s and sisters he made Cronus vomit up his siblings.

  • Hades is not only known for ruling the underworld, but he also kidnapped Persephone, the daughter of Demeter (goddess of agriculture).
Sense Hades kidnapped her Demeter was very sad so she refused for things to grow. Zeus intervened and made Hades return Persephone to her but before she left, he tricked her by making her eat fruit that would bound her to the underworld forever. Because of this, Persephone must return to Hades for 1/3 of the year, in which time the earth would experiment a time of dormant growth.

  • Cronus’s is Hades father. He is a pr-Greek archetypical fertility god. His exact origin is unknown, but is said to be the son of the earth goddess Gaea and the sky god Ouranos, whom he usurped after castrating him. Cronus’s lived somewhere in Greece around the time of B.C. Rhea is Hades mother also Cronus’s sister. 8 Rheia is the daughter of Gaia (Earth) and Ouranos (Heaven) and of the generation of Immortals known as the Titans. Ouranos saw the outrageous behavior of his children and gave them the name Titans. The name can be translated as Strainers or Stretchers, which means that Ouranos thought that they would eventually pay a heavy price for their indulgences because they Strained and Stretched the bounds of propriety and abused their seemingly limitless powers.

  • The Cyclopes helped the build weapons for the three gods to destroy Cronus. The Cyclopes were good at their ability to craft amazing weapons, and it was for this reason that Cronus imprisoned them there. Once free the ever-grateful Cyclopes gave the three Olympian’s their own weapon: Thunderbolt for Zeus, a trident for Poseidon, and a magical helmet for Hades. With his helmet Hades was rendered invisible as long as he was wearing his helmet.

  • In Greek mythology, Hades is the oldest male child of Cronus and Rhea. According to myth, he and his brothers Zeus and Poseidon defeated the Titans and claimed ruler ship over the Cosmos, ruling the underworld, air, and sea, respectively; the solid earth, long the province of Gaia, was available to all three concurrently

  • Hades was very passionate and Persephone was his weakness. She was the daughter of Demeter and Zeus had promised Hades as his bride. However, Zeus did not mention the same to Demeter or his daughter Persephone. This led to a lot of confusions later. Hades was born on the island of Cretes and had to stay along with his brothers Zeus and Poseidon. Finally after a lot of confusion Hades did marry Persephone but she could spend only a few days
of the year with him and rest of the time she had to live with her mother in the underworld.

  • The underworld of Hades was named after Hades himself. It was divided into two regions Erebus, the upper region and Tartarus, the lower region, where the Titans were imprisoned. This realm had a few symbolic rivers. Acheron was the river of sadness, Cocytus was the river of lamentation, Lethe was the river of forgetfulness, Phlegethon was the river of fire, while Styx was the river of hate.

I picked the colors Red,Black and Orange because they are fire colors. What i mean by that they are evil and they fit Hades backround.

I made my music with a lot of "rock" because it sounded destructive and Hades is. I wanted to give a good vibe to the viewers and give a good theme to my page.
